Johannes Nielsen
Johannes Nielsen, born in 1979 in Falkenberg, Sweden, is a distinguished sculptor whose work has garnered international acclaim. After enrolling in Lund's Art School in 2001, he moved to Dublin in 2003 to become the assistant of renowned sculptor Patrick O'Reilly. This pivotal experience allowed Nielsen to hone his sculptural practice, developing a unique style characterized by intricate details and emotive forms. His sculptures, often exploring themes of human connection and introspection, have been showcased at numerous fairs and exhibitions across Europe, the United States, and Asia.
Nielsen's work is held in high regard, with pieces featured in both public and private collections in Sweden, London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, Hollywood, New York, and Montreal. His recent solo exhibition in Stockholm, Sweden, was a resounding success, with most artworks sold to collectors at the opening. Since 2007, he has lived and worked in Beijing, China, where he continues to push the boundaries of contemporary sculpture, creating pieces that captivate and inspire audiences worldwide.
