Guo Chengdong

Guo Chengdong, a Chinese-born sculptor with over 20 years of experience, explores themes of transformation and freedom in his art. Influenced by European academic traditions and Chinese communist art, Guo's training at the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in China and the Beaux-Arts in France refined his mastery of form and composition. Initially rooted in academic styles, his work has evolved towards a more surreal exploration of human-animal relationships, exemplified in pieces like "Emballage."
